DEARBORN, Mich. (WJBK) - A local Arab-American leader is denouncing a new video from Al-Qaida's American-born spokesman Adam Gadahn which calls on Detroit-area Muslims to stage their own attacks against the U.S. Gadahn directed his message to Muslims living in "the miserable suburbs of Paris, London, and Detroit."
The 40-minute recording was posted on terrorist Web sites and released by a U.S. intelligence agency. It praises the suspect in the Christmas day bombing attempt on an airplane coming in for a landing over Detroit Metro Airport. Detroit was the only U.S. city mentioned by the al-Qaida leader. Gadahn, who is on the FBI's "most wanted" list, urges followers to stage their own individual attacks.
